O Christmas Tree..O Christmas Tree!

Because it's my first time to visit the US...siempre hindi mawawala ang picture taking.hehehe! Pang-friendster kung baga... kaya since it's "the most wonderful time of the year" hindi nakaligtas sakin ang mga christmas trees. I had a picture with every christmas tree I've see in San Francisco and San Jose.
My 1st stop...sa hotel of course.

I'm alone and trip ko magpap-picture..kaya timer lang yan.hehe!

@ the famous Pier 39, San Francisco
here's another one...

@ Santana Row, San Jose

In front of San Francisco City Hall

@ the Union Square, San Francisco

ummm..I forgot what it's name...basta sa SF din 'to.
I even thought I would experience a white christmas...ngeh! Wala palang snow sa California.hehehe!

MeEt mY ReLaTiVeS in SJ

Aside from seeing a lot of nice places in California, feeling the cool winter breeze and christmas shopping, I was able to meet some of my relatives for the first time. Oh my, I was surprised there's so many of them!
I met my Lola Lourdes' whole family. Lola Lourdes is my tatay's sister who went to the US even before I was born so I was not able to meet them.

Friday, Nov 30, 5:30 PM
All I have a piece of paper where their address was written. Phrecee (A filipina working in Hitachi SJ) programmed her car GPS to 344 Valley Vista Drive, San Jose, CA. Cool huh? Never seen like this is Pinas.hehehe! When we arrived at Valley Vista Drive, the house number starts at 3440...u-oh! I got a wrong address. All houses on that street has 4-digit numbers.tsk! tsk! tsk! I dunno what got into our minds but we just thought of knocking on 3444...and bingo! that was the exact house that we are looking for. This was the start of my exciting US vacation....hehehe!

Lola Lourdes (Tatay's sister) and Lolo Monico

Now meet the rest of the family...

When I'm worried and I can't sleep
I count my blessings instead of sheep
And I fall asleep counting my blessings
When my bankroll is getting small
I think of when I had none at all
And I fall asleep counting my blessings

Lately, I've been very blessed. Indeed, God is very good to me.
He has given me so much blessings... even more than I've expected. Sometimes I wonder if I'm worthy enough for all of these. He is very faithful eventhough there are times that I'm not faithful to HIM.

Most of the time I'm thinking of how I can repay HIM for all of these...

Hmmm...maybe now I know the answer - Just count my blessings and thank HIM for them!

Thank you, Lord! :-)

BiRtHdAy FeVeR!!!

Yeah...I'm turning 25 today!

I always have this special feeling everytime my birthday is coming. I have this excitement I couldn't explain....maybe because I just really feel special during this day that in my childhood days, I get sick if my birthday is not celebrated. Quite wierd, huh?! But my mom is the one's confessing it so I believe her of course.hehehehe!

When I was about to turn 1, she's planning not to give me a birthday party...being a single mom before, wala daw kami pera para magpaparty. My birthday is Nov 9... I was hospitalized Nov 8 because of measles. From then on, she promised to give a birthday celebration every year no matter how simple it may be. Thanks, ma! I love you so much!

Sympre..every year may party ako. Even nung 12th birthday ko, I don't want a party anymore but she insisted. So I still have the typical birthday party with balloons and stuff.

That was the last...she went to Kuwait to work and on my 13th birthday wala siya and no one remembered in the family to give me a birthday celebration. And guess what happened? I got sick again. hahaha!
But now na i'm working na and spend my own money...kahit walang celebration, hmmmm...parang di na nman ako nilalagnat.hahahaha!

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

JeSuS: La Terapia Que Si Funciona

Jesus: The Therapy That Works
With Cristy and the kids of Monte Sion
The banner speaks about Jesus being our greatest healer...in fact He is the only cure to all our sickness - physically and spiritually. Indeed He is the only therapy that works.
One thing amazing about my trip to GDL is that I was able to attend a Christian Church for 3 Sundays. I attended the Monte Sion Church "Mount Zion" where my Mexican friends Daniel and Cristina are regular attendees.
Outside the church with Vivi, Daniel, Cristy and Daniela

Of course, as expected the official language used in the church is Spanish including the songs, the sermon and the Bible that they use. Good thing though, I know most of the songs so I'm singing the english version while everybody's singing in Spanish. Quite hard, right?! What's even harder is I can't understand the sermon. Thanks to Rodrigo (Cristy's cousin) and Daniela who translated to me every word the preacher says.

I feel so blessed with this Church. Everyone's so accomodating and friendly. I may not understand everything that they say, I can feel the presence of God in them and I know that we are worshipping the same God. I'm thankful to God that he did not leave me alone in a foreign place. He gave me new friends and even family that I could count on.

Gloria a Dios!!!

JuSt fOr ToDaY

When I was in GDL, nagrelay-out sa engg office namin sa HICAP. So pagbalik ko, nasa ibang mundo na ang pwesto ko. From HDD engg office, balik kami sa Head engg.

To my surprise, I found my drawer empty!!!

May nawawala akong mga gamit. Good thing nag 5s ako before I left kaya konti lang ang nawala...

Sad thing though, I lost a book very dear to me...

This book has been my companion for almost 2 years and now it's no where to be found.

Description:
Hard bound
372 pages
Dimension: 6.75 X 4.25 inches
I have my name on the front inside cover
Madaming papel na nakasiksik including some important receipts.

Guys!!! Whoever was able to keep this and you find it interesting, you could keep it for yourself. Just read it and be blessed everyday.
If not, kindly return it to me, please please please!

VaMoS CHiVaS!!!

Soccer games are not that popular in the Philippines. I've watched soccer/football games in our school before but professional football??? Only in my dreams! I only see that on TV like watching the World Cup or something.

But hey...how is that???

me @ the Guadalajara Chivas vs. Anlante Soccer Game in Jalisco Stadium, Mexico

I felt like crying when Daniel and Cristy gave me the ticket for the game. The ticket came as a surprise. We were going to Daniel's softball game when they made me close my eyes and put the tickets in my hand!!! Oh I really love these people!!!

during the game with daniela, cristy, gabriella, viviana and daniel

Chivas vs. Atlante at the height of the game

Well...the score turned out to be 1-1.
But the end the day, we are all happy. It's not only me who watched Chivas live for the first time.hehehe! A million thanks to you guys! I will never forget this experience.

by the way...thanks to Lulu for providing the complimentary tickets!

FiNdiNg NeW fRiEnDs

Going back to GDL alone was at first not a good idea for me. I'm thinking that it would be so sad being alone in the hotel...don't know what to do during the weekend and stuff...

But since I would be travelling together with some GDL guys who went to HICAP, the trip was not as sad as I thought.
I met Daniel...Engr form Hitachi GDL and his lovely wife Cristina who also works in Hitachi. I happened to know that they are Christian because Daniel and I were able to talk during Narita-Tijuana flight. So they invited me to their church, Monte Sion. It's nice to know that there are Christian church here in Mexico. It reminds me of my church back home. There I met Daniela and Viviana. These 4 guys are so cool and accomodating..they would pick me up in my hotel and bring me to different places in Mexico so we really had a lot of bonding moments...

At Viviana's house...
where home-cooked quezadillas were at its best!
yum, yum, yum, yum! delicioso!
at Plaza Gallerias after watching movie and eating @ Sushi Factory...
with Daniel, Viviana, Cristina, another Daniel, Daniella and Gilberto

At Chapalita La Gloriettas
Turistas!
Oh, I will truly miss you guys! I will never forget you!

mY nEw LiFe...LAB LiFe!!!

"If God closes the door, He opens the windows"

I felt sad when after 2 years and 2 months of working with HQA, finally i will be leaving them. Will I be happier in my new family?

After HeadQa, here comes the Matlab family...

Actually, I have mixed emotions regarding my transfer to Matlab. Sad na hindi na ako HeadQA and happy kasi Matlab na ako.hehe! gulo d ba? Even before kasi na i'm with Headqa pa, I always have interaction with the matlab gurls kaya all of them are my friends. I felt like I have a connection with them. hmmm...baka lukso ng dugo?! Lahat kasi kami Chem eng..hehehe! Pwede d ba? And everytime I go inside the lab, I remember my college years and it really feels like home. I think this is really where I belong.

Four 4 months now, I was able to get to know everyone. Cool din pala sila...sarap din kasama and okay din ang bonding...and now I'm loving my new life!!!

I even had a welcome party. hehehe! (segway lang to, kasi para talga sa mga nag-VRP ang party)

May kasalan pa... (Ma'am Jamie and Glenn)

Our next trip...Baguio!!!

LeAviNg my HeAdQa FaMiLy

It's been almost 4 months since i was transferred to another QA section here in our company. Honestly, i was quite reluctant at first when my boss told me that i need to be transferred. I even asked him, "Sir, bakit mo ako pinamimigay?!" Para akong bata. Actually, I can't imagine leaving my HeadQA family. Ang dami kong mamimiss...

3. Makulit na Christmas Party...

Haay! Being part of the Head QA family is one of the reason why i'm still here!

In 2 Skating

Just a month ago, I tried something I haven't really tried before...

ICE SKATING!!!

It was a promise that I made to my little sister. She's been watching the show on Qtv, Stars on Ice and she got curious about ice skating - she's dying to try. Sympre, itong si ate napasubo na. So off we went to Mall of Asia. Grabe..excited talaga siya na she can't wait for me to buy the ticket. Ako naman nag-iisip kung gagawin ko ba to or hindi. So much thoughts going through my mind at that time... nakakahiya naman kung di ako marunong eh ang laki laki ko na, ang daming tao, baka matumba ako, etc. etc. I felt quite nervous while watching the others skating from outside the ring. Eto naman si Junice...she was like, "Ate, tayo na..bili ka na ticket!" (sabay hila). Ako naman, "Dali lang bala junice, bal-an gakurog pa tuhod ko" (Sandali lang Junice, lam mo nman na nanginginig pa tuhod ko). Pero at the end wala akong nagawa...pasok na kami.

for the 1st 10 mins...we were nowhere to be found (nasa gilid kami nakahawak)

ayan...marunong na kami. hehehe! mas matapang pa si junice magtry ng mga moves

we even experienced the artificial snow.

haay..bitin pala ang 1 hr.
anyway...sa uulitin!

Past Reviews

Since I'm new at this, I still have the excuse to write more "quite outdated" stuff, right? Actually, there are so many things I want to post and right now I don't know where to start.
I'm thinking of...
> My bonding moments with my little sister
> Leaving my Head QA family
> My trip to Mexico
> Mexican friends visiting Philippines
> The Hillsong concert, & more, more, more!

Whew! I still have so much in mind, so i better get going....

LiFe, LoVE & oThEr MySteRiEs

Life, love & other mysteries...what's with the title?

Actually, this is a title of a song. Song?! well, yeah! Some of you might not have heard of it.
Sang by a christian female group named Point of Grace. Their album entitled Life, Love and Other Mysteries was even nominated in 1997 Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.

One of my favorite songs of all time because this best represents my life when I started to a personal relationship with the Lord, Jesus Christ in 1998.
You are Lord of life, love and other mysteries
You know my future, You know my history
I find in You all I ever need to know
About life and love and other mysteries
So I guess you now have the idea on what to expect with my future blogs here.
Yes...I will be writing more about my life, love(?) and anything about the mysteries of life.
